Eight action stations make up the high-quality dining options now available at Texas Woman's University's new dining hall. As TWU makes strides to become a more residential heavy campus, the new 600-seat facility was a crucial addition to support the 872-bed residence hall that opened in the fall. The 30,000 SF facility features a Mongolian grill, a gluten/allergen-free station, create-your-own pasta station, soft-serve ice cream, an extensive salad bar, hearth oven pizzas, and a full-service bakery.
In addition to the enticing action stations, Pioneer Kitchen features a teaching kitchen with live demonstrations to help students learn to cook. A cook-at-home meal kit program, called Fed, and a "farmer's market," which features local produce and other grocery items for sale. Pioneer Pastries is also located in Pioneer Kitchen, and students can order custom desserts to be delivered anywhere on campus.
Having opened in the fall of 2019, the high-quality offerings, convenience, and location have all played in role in the facility being immensely successful.
